Bug protection...that is, protection FROM bugs

Notes:

  • Rainy. Again. Another flood watch in effect.
  • Plan for day: Chris some tasks while Cass tasks in yurt. Then test- is generator use (hammer drill) ok with Cass in opened yurt? (Hope so!) Finish non-ledge footings, and then more hammer drilling. Tomorrow morn do more cement together.
  • By time got test done, and lunch was 1:40pm. Can't skip planning 2nd wk in row. Opted to focus on gen use/hammer drill today, cement tomorrow.
  • Neighbor chainsawing on Oregon Falls and driving up?

226.25 Team onsite tent setup

  • Chris hiked up, took tent down, transported tent and chair down
  • Set it back up, at turnaround
  • Got nasty bleeding bugbite
  • Time: 2hrs

275.04 Materials transport

  • hay up top, misc supplies up from vehicles
  • Time: 15min

213.01 Footings

  • Chris generator and hammer drilling
  • Didn't have instructions on Kwikset hydraulic cement stuff
  • Way frickin humid n soaked
  • Stinky ledge! Drilled dust smelled like dead fish.
  • Cass bummed to spend day stuck in yurt, but for a good cause.
  • Chris continued his Toad saving mission
  • Norm the snake loafing around in grasses
  • Hammer drilled 11 plus finished one from earlier in yr
  • Cut 12 rebar
  • Time: 5.75 hrs

300.28 Shower arrangements onsite

  • another trial
  • filled clear jug (as much as could-darn thing has a leak and must be returned!) and set in black tray
  • Time: negligible

213.01 Posts + Beams(Deck)

  • Time: 0.75hrs
  • Put up a second 2*8 for angled beam

213.27 (MLA/Deck) shape ground for drainage/lay gravel/stone over site
